Children’s Church & WKFM

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Delaware Run Wesleyan holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. On the first Sunday of the month the focus is on WKFM or Wesleyan Kids For Missions. This teaches our kids from an early age how important it is to spread the Good News. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity.
Orange Sunday School

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. children in Kindergarten through 5th grade meet for worship songs, praise and prayer time, and videos with a Bible Story and monthly theme/lesson. Middle schoolers have a separate themed class and there is also a preschool class.

“Orange” is a strategy designed to help church leaders and parents synchronize their efforts to fuel wonder, discovery, and passion in the next generation. Yellow is symbolic of Jesus as the Light of the world. Red is symbolic of the heart, of the home – family. Together red and yellow make? Orange! To read more about Orange you can go to

252 Kids is based on one of three basic, but powerful truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52. I need to make the wise choice. I can trust God no matter what. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

There really is something for everyone at DRW. The adults also have a chance to recharge those spiritual batteries on Wednesday evenings with the Adult Prayer, Praise, and Bible study at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Mike leads this Bible study with an laid back style that makes it easy to study the Bible and ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere.
