Our Mission Statement
Pastor Mike Reece, Senior Pastor
Dear Friend,
Let me take a moment to thank you for visiting our website and to invite you to share in worship with us at Delaware Run Wesleyan Church. We would count it a privilege to have an opportunity to minister to you.
Ministering to people is our focus at Delaware Run Wesleyan. We’re not “a minister and a congregation,” but rather, “a ministering congregation.” A place where you can feel the warmth of the Spirit of Jesus Christ projected through the lives of Christians.
You will see here at our website a brief overview of some of the beliefs, ministries, and happenings at Delaware Run Wesleyan. If we can minister to you in any way, please contact us. We deeply desire to help meet your needs!
Again, we welcome you to become a part of the “family” at Delaware Run Wesleyan.
In the love of Christ,
Pastor Mike Reece
What We Believe…
About God – We believe that God is an eternal personal being of absolute knowledge, power, and goodness, eternally existant in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
About Jesus Christ – We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth free from moral taint of nature, perfect in life and conduct, in His miracles, and in His vicarious death. We believe in His atonement for the whole human race, in His resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, and in His return to earth in His second coming.
About the Holy Spirit – We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person in the triune God. He is the Administrator of grace to all mankind and is particularly the Agent in conviction for sin, in regenration, in sanctification, and in glorification. He is ever present, assuring, preserving, guiding, and enabling the believer.
About the Bible – We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that the Bible is the complete revelation of God’s plan for the salvation of man and the authority for all Christian belief and practice.
About Man – We believe that man was created by God, and that because of his willful disobedience, he brought on himself both physical and spiritual death.
About the Sacraments – We believe there are two sacraments: The Lord’s Supper and Baptism by immersion, sprinkling, or pouring.
